【社員インタビュー】ア二スピが受け入れたウクライナからの難民の方、現在ア二スピで活動されているメンバー紹介！

こんにちは！人事課でインターンしている23年卒の大学生です！

今回はア二スピの社員、オレーナさんにインタビューさせて頂きました！

オレーナさんはア二スピが受け入れた難民の方、現在ア二スピの社員で活動されています。

去年の6月から入社、オレーナさんがア二スピでどんな仕事をされているか、日本の生活についてインタビューをさせて頂きました！

実はこのインタビューは英語で行いましたが、日本語に通訳してからこの投稿を書きましたので、英語のほうも書かせていただきました。

This interview is about an individual Anispi took in from Ukraine, her name is Olena and she has been working at Anispi as graphic designer since June of last year. We`ve chosen to ask about the work she`s been doing and her life in Japan.

「入社して、実際働いたうえでの感想は？」

半年ぐらい経ってるんですけど、そもそもこの機会を頂けるとすごく嬉しいです！日本語はまだまだなんですけど、やっぱりア二スピのみんなは優しくて、日本語力が高くなくてもみんな話しかけてくれるので、日本語力を高めるのを頑張れます。

What are your feelings upon joining the company and actually working as a member of the staff?

"About half a year has passed and I`m really grateful for the opportunity. My Japanese is still not very good but even with the language obstacle people still talk to me and that has really helped my Japanese improve."

「日本語力まだまだとおっしゃってましたが、やっぱり言語の壁で仕事するのは大変ですか？」

今ア二スピでデザインの仕事をやっているのですが、デザインと言語力はそんなに関係ないのである程度理解できています！むしろ日本のマネジメントと会社の業務のやり方が今まで仕事したところと全然違って、その違いに慣れるのが中々難しいです。

You said your Japanese is still not very good, does that affect how you do your job? Does it make it harder?

"Right now I am doing work as a graphic designer and to be honest, design and the language barrier are not super intertwined so I am still able to understand what I`m working with to a certain extent. What has actually been sort of difficult is getting sued to the management style in Japan as well as the process of how work gets done in the company. It`s very different from the jobs I`ve had before."

「前の仕事って、どんな仕事されましたか？」

元々モーショングラフィックスに関する仕事をしていた、その他はマーケティングとかSNSに関連する仕事もしました。

「色んな仕事をしてきましたね！　モーショングラフィックスが現在の仕事とだいぶ違いますか？」

結構違いますよね、現在イラストレーションとグラフィックデザインなど、ア二スピのプロモーションコンテンツを作っています！

「なんか楽しそうですね、今までやってきたプロジェクトの中で、何か好きな作品とか終わるまで大変だったと思った作品ありますか？」

去年の12月に開催した福祉リベンジャーズイベントのポスターのデザインが結構大変でした。私はアニメ系のデザインを描いたことがなくて、ほんっとに難しかったです（笑）。今までのデザインの仕事から身につけられたスキルを全力で活かさなければならなかったプロジェクトでした。今まで、写実的なデザインしかやったことがなかったので、それとアニメ系のデザインを混ぜ合わせるのが大変でした。でも、このプロジェクトのおかげでアニメ系だけではなく、日本のデザインについて沢山のことを学ぶ機会になりました！

The jobs you`ve done before, prior to coming to Japan what kind of work were you doing?

"I used to do work with motion graphics, as well as work in social media marketing. "

You have experience in different fields, does the work you are doing now largely differ from the work you used to do?

"The work I do now is definitely different from the work I used to do. Currently I am doing work with illustrations and graphic design, I help make promotion content for the company."

That sounds really interesting, since you`ve started working here have there been any projects in particular you really liked, or any projects that were super difficult to finish?

"Oh yes, there was an event held last year that our company was involved in and designing the poster for it was quite the task. I`ve never done anime syle art before so I really had to put all the skills I`ve learned in the time I`ve been doing design to use. I`ve only ever done realistic design so mixing the two was difficult, but through this project I learned quite a bit about Japanese design."

「出勤の日は忙しそうですが、休みの日何をされてますか？」

もう最近休みの日寝たり、食べたりしかしてないんです（笑）。私が飼っている三匹の猫がやっとウクライナから来たので、基本的に猫たちの世話に時間かけてる、めっちゃ大変だよ（笑）。日本語のレッスンがなければ、たまにお散歩したり、ちょっとお出かけしたりします。余裕があれば休みの日本当にゆっくりしてます。

「日i本に生活するの大変そうだけど猫ちゃんたちが癒しになりますね　(笑)」

You seem pretty busy when you have work, how do you spend your days off?

"Honestly I`m usually just sleeping or eating. My three cats have finally come from Ukraine so I spend a lot of my time playing with them or taking care of them, its a lot of work. If I dont have Japanese lessons that day then I might take a walk or go out."

「仕事とか社会的なこと何でもいいのですが、日本と海外の違いは何ですか？」

あー沢山あるけど、やっぱりデザインのやり方が全然違いますね。

「おー、先ほど言語の壁がデザインとはそこまで関係ないとおっしゃったんですが、やっぱり日本と海外のデザイン自体が違いがありますね。」

そうですね、少し専門的な話になっちゃいますが、大きな違いはオブジェクト数、細かいとこまでこだわるとこ、あとはテキストの置き方です。しかも欧米ではプリントのものを使わず、全部デジタルで行っています。日本のデザインは結構派手な色とか、可愛いものが沢山載ってますね。でも、その違いが自分にとって面白いですよ。その大きな違いがあるから私は日本のデザインをもっと知りたいし、知識を高めるため仕事にやりがいを感じてます。マネージャーからデザインについて沢山学んでいるので、マネージャーから色々指導されながら日本のデザインの知識を深めることを心掛けて仕事を行っています。

「素敵な考え方ですね！応援してますよ！」

In regards to work or just society in general, what is different about Japan and Ukraine or other places you`ve lived abroad?

"Hmmm, there`s a lot of differences but I would say the biggest difference is how they do design in Japan."

Previously you said that the language does not pose too much of an obstacle for your work. However, if I am understanding correctly there is a big difference in how design is done in Japan and abroad, correct?

"Yes, this explanation is going to become a little technical but the biggest differences between Japanese design and the design I`ve done abroad for one, is the amount of objects, Japan also pays attention to every minute detail. Additionally where text is placed is also very different. I think something else I`ve noticed is that Japan uses a lot of bright colors and cute characters or designs. There is also the difference in that abroad every thing is digitalized, in Japan print is still used in combination with digital. I think these differences makes the work interesting, and because of these differences I want to know more about Japanese design. It makes me want to improve my skills more. I am learning a lot from my manager about Japanese design and I am putting in a lot of work to get better at my job."

「そもそもなんでデザインの仕事？」

うわーちょっと話が長くなっちゃうのでできるだけ短くします（笑）

現在、私は30歳なんですよ。最初は言語学の学位と翻訳の資格を取りました。その時、医療的な翻訳と通訳者として仕事していました。色々あって疲れてしまって、転職したいと思い始めました。それがきっかけで自分でデザインを勉強し始めた。それから一年半デザインの専門学校に通い、2019年やっと仕事を見つけたからずっとデザインをやっています。なんでデザイン？と聞かれたら、デザインが面白いし、何か作品を作るのは楽しいし、デザインを通して他の人を喜ばせる事ができるからデザイン始めました。あとは周りの友達、何人かがデザインやっているので、それも少しきっかけに影響されたかもしれないです

Why did you choose to work in design?

"Oh this is going to be a long story so I`m going to try and make this as short as possible. Right now I`m 30 years old. I had actually been learning linguistics and gotten certified to be a translator. At the time I was working as a translator for medical purposes. At some point I just sort of got tired and decided I wanted to change jobs. From there I just decided to learn design on my own, and for a year and a half I went to school to learn design. In 2019 I managed to find some work and I`ve been doing design since then. When people ask me why I chose design, it really comes down to the fact that I think it`s interesting, I like to create things, and I get to create something that makes others happy. I would also say because a few of my friends are also in the field of design, that probably had an impact on why I chose this field."

「これから挑戦してみたいことは？」

今はちょっと具体的な答えがなくてすみません（笑）

とりあえず今のデザインのスキルを改善したくて、これからもマネージャーに指導されたいと思ってます。あとは日本語が上手になりたいです！

Is there anything you want to try doing or start working on as a personal challenge?

"I don`t really have an answer for that but as of right now I want to improve my design skills, and I intend to learn as much as possible from my manager. Also, I would really like to get better at Japanese!"
