What is your role in this company?
Moemi boosts 2 years of experience at the Sales Department at Flow solutions being the “bridge”, connecting the suppliers, clients and agencies to the core members of various divisions in the company.
What kinds of projects would a person in your position be able to own from sales person close beginning to end?
For such a role, the ideal traits required from an individual are; one who is engaging and willing to participate, someone confident enough to 'call the shots' when necessary, and a person that maintains in mind what is most suitable for the company from a sales perspective. Naturally, an excellent sales initiative is sought.
What are the major metrics or milestones for the person in this position?
The major metrics needed for this position encompass several aspects, but mainly communication skill set is extremely important to set the deals. Independence is also an important characteristic because in SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) there are not a lot of employees, it is therefore the responsibility of the sales person to kickstart the deal.. Hence, an individual has to be dynamic and sales-centric.
How might the person in this role contribute to the organization’s mission?
A sales person contributes to the organization’s mission by achieving good deals through successful sales negotiations. As a result, a successful sales representative can expect a larger office and new people being recruited. This would, in fact, generate more revenues. Furthermore, sales business is a major source of financing for the other departments of the company, making the company more sustainable in the long-run.
Where have other employees in this position gone to in the past?
Moemi has been very familiar working in this area, previously having had experience in the retail segment. Since the product that Flow Solutions provides is not as simple as selling a pen, it is extremely important to understand what the customer’s needs and preferences are, being a customer-focus job. Sometimes the sales process may need a long-term approach, not just selling the product in one time, but by building the relationship with the potential client and then work closely together with them until they see enough value in the product. This is another important skill that a salesperson needs to have when working for Flow.
How does your department fit into the organization overall?
The salesperson’s department fits extremely well in the overall company structure, making it a source of funding for the enterprise in general and an easy way to pass information between stakeholders. Essentially, it is a hub to initiate a project hub to initiate the project'
Where does the company expect to be in the next three to five years?
In the next 3-5 years the company's growth rate is expected to be, twice as fast when compared to the current growth rates. Also, it is in mind to have a bigger office, subsequently, we can offer more job opportunities, and have more sales staff helping each other mutually. This, would make our approach to tasks more streamlined as there would be more people to handle the projects alongside more developers.
What do you see as the major goals for the person in this role over the next year?
The major goals for the next year would be to bring along more sales personnel in order to make the company more active and efficient! As a result, there would be more frequent communication opportunities and more time to reflect more consciously about the projects.
