As a non-profit, voluntary contributor, I was honorably selected from Mr. Kevin Systrom to do Japanese translation of the Instagram app, APIs and some portion of the website. It had been so much fun and worth doing this, as I was luckily involved in helping grow the number of Instagram users in Japan. And it was very challanging for me to do precise, brief and correct translation (because the display size of the Instagram app on smartphones are very limited, and lengthy/verbose translations should be avoided for better usability) - I really enjoyed discussions on Japanese translation with Kevin-san, Mike-san, Josh-san, Shayne-san etc., until Instagram finally adopted in-house translation team from Facebook in December 2012.
