Columbia University in the City of New York / Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics BS
I am an undergraduate student at Columbia University pursuing a B.S. in Applied Mathematics with a special interest in the intersection of financial accounting with industrial engineering. In addition to my senior research, I am available for hire as an online academic tutor on KTS.
Kweller Prep, a small, boutique tutoring company based out of Queens, offers private tutoring in a wide array of school subjects as well as standardized test prep. I worked shifts as an academic tutor, tutoring all levels of middle and high school mathematics and physics. I have also worked to prepare students for the HSPT, SSAT, PSAT, ACT, SAT, and SAT II Math I standardized tests.
I taught two sections of high school Calculus: one an introductory class and AP Calculus BC. I also ran independent studies in Discrete Math, Abstract Algebra, and Linear Algebra. For these my hope was introduce my tutees to heuristics, concepts, and skills from University mathematics as tools to make their math-life more structured and enriching.
Served as a STEM tutor for two years. Taught an 8-month-long social justice class to 12 inner city middle school students, focusing on the discourse on US race-relations. Developed a 6 week mathematics curriculum for Providence 8th grade students in the summer of 2016.
Created daily reports for fixed income product control, mainly covering JGB trade P&L analysis, treasury B/S day-over-day variance and Repo secured funding balance. Summarized and presented weekly movements in JGB and UST markets and N225.
