Campaign Management (worked with Law Society)
The only PR experience that I have is from one module in my last semester - Campaign Management. This module required us to have real life clients (not-for-profit organisations) and develop and propose a communication strategy for them. My group’s client was the Law Society Pro Bono Services who had the issue of lack of awareness in society, which we identified after conducting a research. To overcome this issue, we proposed a strategy and suggested possible channels and tactics. We chose to use traditional media, social media and print media to maximise our reach towards our target publics. Some tactics we came up with included: radio talk show, television documentary series, public service announcement videos and posters. My group members and I went the extra mile to do mock ups of the posters and even produced a video. We proposed this communication strategy in a presentation in front of 3 judges, our client and our cohort to which we scored the highest among all groups. The 3 judges scored us (out of 100): 84, 84, and 95. This is one of the proudest moments in my academic journey as it showed that hard work actually pays off.
