I used to be a forester laboratory scientist during Bachelor's in Indonesia, observing the acoustic properties of oil palm wood as a new musical instruments material using ultrasonic sensor. That was the first time I became familiar with cutting-edge technology.
Admiring both forest and disaster management in Japan, I studied as a Master Double Degree Program (DDP) student both in Japan and Indonesia, majoring environmental science. During PhD, revealing the impact of landslides on forest management by using LiDAR datasets was a great experiences as this kind of datasets rarely to be used in my home country, Indonesia.
