Romelu Lukaku is reportedly unlikely to return to Chelsea next season, with Inter Milan potentially signing him back on a permanent deal next summer or agreeing another loan. The Belgium international returns to Stamford Bridge in a £97.5m deal from Inter in August 2021. However he found it difficult to make a mark during his second spell with the London club, scoring just eight Premier League goals. Lukaku returns to Inter on loan for the 2022/23 season, and he has scored one goal and provided one assist in three Serie A games for the Italian side this season. The 29-year-old will return to his parent club next summer, but Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio sees no possibility of the Belgian representing Chelsea again.
