- The Money Advice Service
Member of a development team focused on maintaining and expanding the Money Advice Service website and financial capability Javascript tools. My work involved a combination of responsive UI development and jQuery scripting to progressively enhance frontend markup and tools. Key contributions Built responsive views from wireframes using HTML 5, SCSS and and JavaScript. Integrated frontend markup into Ruby/Rails development environment. Wrote JavaScript components for DOM manipulation and calculation tools. Met WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards. Employed TDD techniques using Karma test runner. Contributed to web design prototypes and user experience deliverables. Used Git/Github to deploy code collaboratively. Deployed code using build tools like Bower, Modernizr, NPM and Bundler. Frontend standards: HTML5, SCSS, RWD, Javascript, JQuery, NPM, Webpack, Karma.
- Javascript Calculator
Calculator app created as a personal project. The calculator design is focused on simplicity and a colour palette extracted from nature. The concept is based on simple, intuitive interactions and meeting accessibility standards.
