Pirate3D is a company behind the Buccaneer 3D printer, one of the successful Fused Filament Fabrication projects on Kickstarter in 2013 (http://kck.st/Ki6aHC). We have amassed more than $1.4 million in funding from 3,200 backers.
In several weeks Pirate3D will enter the production stage. Our R&D efforts, however, don't end there. We will continue developing new and improved models of our 3D printer.

Company facts
Founded in late 2012, Pirate3D is a 3D printing startup seed-funded by Red Dot Ventures and incubated by the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES). The Buccaneer, company's first 3D printer, uses fused filament fabrication (FFF) technique for printing PLA. The company is accepting preorders of the Buccaneer on pirate3d.com.
