熱意のあるグローバル人材求む！！！-Calling All Enthusiastic Global Talent-

バイリンガルのための就職フォーラムCFNに出展しました

みなさんこんにちは。広報PRのCeliaです。今回私たちは東京ビッグサイトで6月22日（土）と 6月23日（日）の二日間で開催される東京サマーキャリアフォーラム2024に参加いたしました。CFNはグローバルなバックグラウンドを持った学生の方の就職イベントで、企業にとっても優秀な人材に出会える可能性のあるチャンスの場でもあります。グローバルな就職活動ができるので、留学経験や海外経験をお持ちの方、語学力を活かしたい方がたにおすすめの機会です！実はFreewillは社員のおよそ3割が外国籍や海外育ちのメンバーという非常に多様性に溢れたメンバーで構成されています。私自身も高校生までメキシコ育ちで、まだまだ日本歴7年目です。それでは、なぜFreewillがグローバル人材を求めるのか。それは今後の世界を担うリーダーとなるメンバーをFreewillを通して輩出していくためです。

CEO Toshi Asabaは会社の成長だけでなく、日本全体が一丸となって世界の中でリーダーシップをとれるようになることを目指しています。そのためにも、自身で自分の思いや考えをもち、グローバルな場で活躍したいと願う方に出会うために今回のCFNにも出展しました。

本日はCFNでの登壇内容を通して、みなさんにFreewillの思いを知っていただければと思います。

イベントには国際系の大学の学生、留学経験がある学生、帰国子女外国籍の大学生など、様々なバックグラウンドを持った方々がご来場されていました。

弊社の会社説明会ではCEO Toshi Asabaが自ら参加し、弊社がグローバルに富んだICTとデザインの力を駆使してサステナブルな世界を実現することを説明しました。Freewillでは新しい経済圏「Sustainable eco Society」を実現するために自社サービスを展開しています。例えば、買い物するだけで森が増える「tells market」、ブロックチェーンとAIで透明性と信用を担保したクラウドファンディング「SPIN」、そして決済するだけで森が増える決済アプリ「サスPay」です。当日はご参加いただいた学生の方にもご興味を持っていただきたくさんの質問を頂戴いたしました。

Freewillは、「日本社会のグローバル化」を最新のDX（デジタルトランスフォーメーション）のテクノロジーを用いて、グローバル経験豊富な人材によって導くことをMissionに掲げています。そのため、積極的な海外への取り組みや、一人ひとりのアイデアを実現できる環境にも好意的な意見がありました。特に代表のAsabaのエネルギッシュなプレゼンと熱意ある自社サービスやサステナビリティへの説明に魅力を感じていただけました。

Freewillの考えるグローバル人材とは

今回のキャリアフォーラムでは、多くの方々がグローバルなバックグラウンドを持っておりましたが、必ずしも英語を話せるということだけがスキルの全てではありません。むしろ、グローバルな視点を持ち、多様な考え方ができることが重要視されています。この視点こそが、本当のグローバル人材であるとFreewillは考えています。

日本で育った方でも、海外の文化や考え方に興味関心があれば、Freewillは大歓迎です。私たちはお互いの違いを価値として認め、それを活かす場を提供しています。こうしたアプローチにより、私たちのチームはさらに多様性に富んだ視点で活動し、グローバルな課題に対処しています。

前述させていただいた通り、私自身もまだ日本歴7年目で、日々言葉の壁や日本の文化に合わせた適切な振る舞いを習得することに課題を感じています。特にPR部では、多くのお客様やメディアの方と接する事が多いため、毎日学ぶことも多い一方、時にはまだまだ実力不足を感じることもあります。

しかし、Freewillでは新入社員や外国籍の社員であっても本人の熱意があればプロジェクトに参加する機会が用意されています。

私の所属するPR部でも、入社3ヶ月でこうして自分で企画した内容を外部へ発信する機会を得ることができました。この他にも熱意をもち行動しさえすれば、多くのチャンスをつかむことができる環境です。

Freewillでは、私のようなグローバルなバックグラウンドをもつ社員が集まっており、国境を越えたチームワークを大切にし、異文化理解を始めとしたコミュニケーションで様々な挑戦に取り組んでいます。グローバルな視点で課題解決をのぞむ方、日本語を勉強中であってもFreewillのビジョンに共感いただける方など、皆様のご応募お待ちしております！

A Career Forum for Bilinguals - Our Booth in CFN

Hello everyone! I’m Celia, the PR representative for Freewill. We recently participated in the Tokyo Summer Career Forum 2024, which took place over two days at Tokyo Big Sight on June 22nd (Saturday) and June 23rd (Sunday). CFN is a job fair for students with a global background, providing companies with an opportunity to meet exceptional talent. It’s an ideal event for those interested in global job opportunities, especially if you have international study or work experience and want to leverage your language skills. Approximately 30% of Freewill’s employees have foreign backgrounds or grew up abroad, making our team incredibly diverse. In my case, I spent more than ten years in Mexico and have been in Japan for seven years now. 

But why is Freewill actively seeking global talent? The answer lies in our commitment to nurturing future leaders who will shape the world. CEO Toshi Asaba aims not only for the company’s growth but also for Japan to take leadership on the global stage. To achieve this, we’re excited to connect with individuals who share our passion and want to make an impact in a global context. 

Feedback from Participants at CFN

Our event attracted a diverse audience, including students from international universities, those with study abroad experience, and Japanese who grew up outside the country. During our company presentation, CEO Toshi Asaba personally participated and explained how our company leverages the power of ICT and design to create a sustainable world on a global scale. We are committed to realizing the “Sustainable eco Society,” a new economic sphere. Our services include “tells market,” where shopping contributes to reforestation; “SPIN,” a transparent and trustworthy blockchain-based crowdfunding platform; and “SusPay,” a payment app that helps grow forests with each transaction. On the event day, students showed great interest and asked numerous questions.

Freewill’s mission is to lead Japan’s globalization using cutting-edge DX (Digital Transformation) technology, guided by a talented pool of individuals with global experience. Participants appreciated our proactive approach to international engagement and the supportive environment encouraging individual ideas. In particular, CEO Asaba’s energetic presentation and passionate explanations about our services and sustainability left a lasting impression.

What Freewill Considers Global Talent

At this Tokyo Summer Career Forum, many participants have diverse global backgrounds. However, speaking English alone is not the sole skill that defines a global talent. Instead, Freewill emphasizes that having a global perspective and the ability to think diversely is what truly characterizes global talent.

Even if you grew up in Japan, Freewill welcomes individuals interested in foreign cultures and ways of thinking. We recognize the value of our differences and provide an environment where these differences can thrive. Through this approach, our team operates with a richly diverse viewpoint, addressing global challenges.

As mentioned earlier, I have been in Japan for seven years, and I still face the challenge of mastering appropriate behavior and language nuances. Especially in the PR department, where I interact with clients and media frequently, there’s a constant learning curve. However, at Freewill, opportunities to participate in projects are available to enthusiastic individuals, whether they are new employees or foreign nationals.

In my PR department, I had the chance to communicate externally by sharing content I developed within just three months of joining. Beyond that, the environment encourages seizing numerous opportunities as long as you approach them with passion and action.
