Nixパッケージマネージャーの使い方
Nix を使うのかというと、
1. 宣言的に環境を管理できるので環境の再現が容易
2. カスタマイズ性が高い
3. docker が要らない
4. アンインストールしたときに予期せぬところにゴミが残ることがない
5. 環境をいつでも戻すことができる
というところが嬉しいからです。

Webhooks がよくないという記事です。
Stripe の API みたいに/events で過去のイベントが見れるエンドポイントがいいと言っています。
確かに良さそうですね。
著者は /events をロングポーリングしたいと言っていますが、
そこまでやるなら Websocket の方いい気がします。

初めて知りましたが、良さそうですね！
おそらく AWS で全ての機能を再現できますが、
用意されているサービスも悪くないですね。
昔はよく自分で作ればいいじゃんって思っていましたが、
最近はどこに時間をかけるのが大事だと感じていて、
自分で作れるとしてもお金を払ってすでに出来ているものを使うのもいいと思うようになりました。

Good: Alerts on business level metrics
Bad: Alerts on machine level metrics
Knowing that checkout volume is sharply down is far more valuable than knowing that CPU on one of the checkout servers is way up. Mainly because that high CPU may have no customer effect, so it's really not all that urgent.
確かに CPU 使用率が上がっても、ユーザの行動に変化がなければ気にしなくていいかもしれません。

Facebook Users Said No to Tracking. Now Advertisers are Panicking
先週似たようなニュースがありましたが、新しいデータが発表されました：
People give iOS apps permission to track their behavior just 25% of the time
Facebook advertisers, in particular, have noticed an impact in the last month. Media buyers who run Facebook ad campaigns on behalf of clients said Facebook is no longer able to reliably see how many sales its clients are making
素晴らしい
It also makes it more difficult to “re-target” people with ads that show users items they have looked at online, but may not have purchased.
気持ち悪いことが出来なくなって文句を言っていますね。🤢

“What Facebook was great at is they were able to see who bought and find that user’s buyer behavior – what other websites are they visiting, what other things are they doing,” Stuck said.
