Types Of Disposable Gloves

Disposable gloves are classified by the material that is used to manufacture them. These materials are four, namely:

nitrile, latex, vinyl, polythene, nylon.

Nitrile: Nitrile disposable gloves are made of synthetic nitrile rubber polymers. The main benefit of these nitrile gloves is the protection they give against hazards, like chemicals. Also, it is known as the strongest type of gloves. This is due to its good durability and tear-resistance protection. It is produced using synthetic material, meaning it is latex-free. Hence, it is free of latex allergies.

Latex: These types of disposable gloves are made of natural rubber. They offer hand movements flexibility, durability, and comfortability. Also, they provide good protection from infections and germs. But when purchasing this kind of gloves make sure that your body is not allergic to latex.

Vinyl: Vinyl disposable gloves are produced with synthetic plastic polymer. These plastic polymers are cost-effective. Although they are not that strong and resistant. But it is preferred when economical and cheap latex-free gloves are needed. These disposable gloves are advised for non-hazardous work.

Polythene: These disposable gloves are manufactured with polyethylene. The gloves are loose and give hands a breathing space. They are very economical and cost-effective. Also, they can only be used for non-strenuous and light work. Because they are not that durable.

Nylon: Lastly, we have nylon disposable gloves. As the name implies, it is made up of nylon. These gloves offer flexibility, good grip, durability, and abrasion- resistance. In addition to the above-mentioned, they give protection from harmful substances, infections, and contamination.
