投資銀行に株式アナリストとして入社後、セカンダリ機関投資家に対する統計分析を用いた投資戦略の提案に従事し、主にアジア株式市場における投資戦略の提案を担当。その後、コンサルティング会社にて商社・ファンド等を中心としたIN-OUT投資を始めとする様々な資本取引のアドバイザリー業務に従事。プロジェクトファイナンス・経営管理のモデリングを専門とし、提案活動からモデル構築までをインターナショナルなチームをリードして行う。カーネギーメロン大学のMBAプログラムを卒業した後、現在シリコンバレーで起業した後、失敗して帰国。東京に戻り、CEOとして0から再度サービスの立ち上げに従事。 John is a CEO of modelmap, a seed-stage software start-up in Silicon Valley as well as an independent financial modeler. His specialty is financial modelling in project finance, quantitative research and portfolio optimization. He started his career as a quantitative researcher in the second-largest investment bank in Japan, where he wrote the investment reports and presented quantitative investment strategies to hedge funds and asset managements. He moved to a global consulting firm and involved with wide range of private equity investments as a financial advisor. He left to go to business school and participated in entrepreneurial activities. For the majority of his career he has been located in Asia, specifically Japan. He now resides in Tokyo and fully-committed to driving the start-up company, Modelmap.
