Malaysia is a very ambitious place to be living in because of the sheer potential market that it has to offer.
Recently, the virtual youtuber boom has took the hearts and minds of the online world by storm. It seems logical with the pandemic and lockdowns going on around the world giving people extra time to watch videos on youtube. With that being said, I am here to elaborate why expanding or developing the virtual youtubers industry in Malaysia would be a great idea from a business perspective.
1. Lower cost of business investments and maintenance from Japan to Malaysia.
With this being said, Malaysia is a very cost effective country due to the weak nature of the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). The various businesses and government initiatives allows Malaysians to thrive well even though the currency of the nation is not particularly strong. Though, it does not mean Malaysia is poor. Oh no far from it.
In terms of business points of view, lower cost of office rents, lower cost of equipment and technology prices, lower cost of wages for workers, lower cost of utility bills, lower tax rates and lower cost of living makes it very attractive for foreign businesses to expand in Malaysia.
Profit wise in terms of virtual youtubers depends on the business plan of the company and the performance of the v-tuber itself. Utilizing MYR and profiting from various stronger currencies is a wise investment indeed.

2. A large anime and virtual youtuber fanbase to accommodate to.
It might be said that Malaysia much like other countries that love Japan for their cultural gift of anime and other innovations. However, did many of you know that the government of Malaysia has a very positive view on Japanese ideas and cultures as well?.
Well I will elaborate that issue further but the point here is that Malaysians really love anime. How may I prove it?
A 2-day event tradition for anime fans, cosplayers and businesses alike.
These are also the events held by comic fiesta throughout the year. Giving potential to market official merchandise but due to unfortunate circumstances (COVID-19) most events are postponed until next year.
Apart from events, anime fans and virtual youtubers fans could be taken into account from Malaysia's various communities. Such as Comic fiesta's discord server, R/Malaysia's subreddit, Various Facebook discussion pages and many more online communities.
it seems very much that Malaysians very much love Japan that we even have Japan Expo
And one of the most profitable bookstores in Malaysia is Kinokuniya Bookstore due to their supply of Manga and Illustration books.
Points given, there are quite a lot of anime fans and Japan lovers in Malaysia. It would be quite easy to find ourselves a Japanese speaker if we held auditions.
Here's a few reference for Malaysian degeneracy and fans shenanigans at ACG Events. (Anime,Comics and Games)
3.Strategic location closely to Japan and South East Asian neighbours
Malaysia sits at the heart of South East Asia borders itself with Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei and Thailand.
Relatively close with virtual youtubers that has established their companies in Indonesia such as Hololive ID and Nijisanji ID. It should be the right time to expand in Malaysia due to our close proximity and influence.
Japan also sits about 5134KM from Malaysia and would take about 7 hours of flight to get there. Which would not take us very long or far to get there for ease of business and overseeing business operations.
4. Great infrastructures, technological hubs and advancements made to encourage businesses.
I shall continue on why the government of Malaysia favours Japan as a nation. Malaysia and Japan has established a very warm connectionin the past due to former policy called Look East Policy. As such, Major Japanese companies have invested in Malaysia and has hold quite a footing in the Malaysian market.
To accomodate such businesses and the innovations it brings along, Malaysia keeps up with various projects to ensure the capital, Kuala Lumpur and businesses could have an operational stay.
The capital Kuala Lumpur is relatively small but homes the best of companies and businesses the nation holds.
Malaysian KTM railway system connects the rural and urban population to the city.
Malaysia's MRT railway for urban and city transport. Takes the public through various places around the city. Mainly used for work and tourism.
Malaysia's KLIA Transit. One of the fastest railways in Malaysia. It connects the KLIA Kuala Lumpur International Airport to the capital of Kuala Lumpur. Which is about 71KM in distance. The train is quite fast and takes about 20 minutes for people to arrive in Kuala Lumpur.
Did you know Malaysia also has a place that is like Akihabara. This mall also sells computer hardwares for a bargain of a price.
Did you also know that one of the few outsourced companies for Dark Souls 3 Art Development is a Malaysian company?
Overall, the many contributions made by many people and companies is what makes Malaysia a good place to expand as technological advancement is very much adequate.
5.English Proficiency and Cultural Uniqueness
English proficiency in Malaysia is ranked quite high among many countries. Malaysia ranks #26 in English proficiency among #100 Nations. That being said we also have our own unique language which would make us distinctive and interesting to western viewers.
The demographics of culture in Malaysia also gives us an edge due to various types of people available in Malaysia, Expanding our viewers and reach.
I believe if we could establish a v-tuber company or branch here. We could innovate very much new ideas to attract viewers.
Extras
If we establish an overseas branch fast enough, I believe our growth will be significant. As the industry is very new and the Malaysian market has not tapped into it professionally yet.
However I must report my findings in an emerging local company called Myholotv. A new virtual youtuber company that will gain traction soon enough but I show no interest in joining them as I believe my contributions and ideas could be more significant and attractive to other professional companies such as Hololive Productions.
