I wanted to explore the possibilities in Adobe Aero by capturing the summer festival feeling. During the summer night, the wind gently passes us under the sky full of stars. We sincerely make a wish by folding a paper crane, hoping it could deliver our wish to the sky. The fun part about this project is animating the paper crane folding. I studied origami geometry and created a flat 3D model mimicking the seam. Then, I use bones and weight maps to control the animation. I have enjoyed origami since I was a kid, so animating the folding part is also enjoyable. If I had more knowledge, I would like to make this project more personal by adding a custom message input function and displaying collected wishes anonymously. Maybe even let them draw their paper crane, and people can see various paper cranes flying 🤣
