SolidWorks is employed to design both the standard wing model of the CH701 aircraft and a modified wing model simulating bird impact. Ansys Fluent is utilized to conduct simulations of the external flow around these wings, allowing for comparative analysis of aerodynamic performance before and after a bird strike. This approach enables detailed evaluation of the structural and aerodynamic effects of bird strikes on aircraft wings.
The design process for the Boeing 737 MAX 8 involves using MATLAB for weight estimation, sensitivity analysis, and performance requirements. Wing models for the Boeing 737 series are created using Fusion360. ANSYS Fluent is employed to simulate the external flow field, calculating parameters such as lift, drag, lift coefficient, and drag coefficient to refine the aerodynamic performance of the aircraft.
I initially learned systems engineering while regularly reporting phased results to NSPO (formerly TASA). As a member and manager of the avionics team at the Space Technology Lab (STL), I contributed to developing the sensor subsystem of the avionics system for NSPO’s research rocket project. This experience provided me with practical expertise in system integration and the ability to effectively communicate between lab members and supervisors.
MATLAB is utilized to determine the state of high Mach number flow after multiple shock waves and to plot the streamline inside the Prandtl-Meyer expansion wave at any Mach number. These capabilities facilitate a comprehensive analysis of complex aerodynamic phenomena in supersonic flows.
